OUR ROLE AND SCOPE OF THIS POLICY

DenSyte operates a neutral online marketplace that facilitates connections and transactions between Producers and Cinematographers. DenSyte does not create, produce, own, direct, or control any audiovisual content exchanged between Users.

This Policy governs personal information processed by DenSyte in its capacity as platform operator. It does not govern information exchanged independently between Users outside the Platform, which is prohibited under the Terms of Service.

Information We Collect

We know that revealing your shot list can reveal your story.

1. Information You Provide Directly

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide, including:

  1. Name
  2. Email Address
  3. Company or production entity name

3. Blind Requests, Submissions, and Communications

  1. Project descriptions, technical requirements, timelines, and budgets
  2. Messages and files exchanged through Platform tools
  3. Support inquiries and correspondence

Blind Requests are designed to limit identity disclosure. Producer identities are masked from Cinematographers unless and until disclosure is permitted under the Terms of Service.

4. Transaction and License Information

In connection with Transactions, we collect and generate:

  1. Transaction identifiers
  2. Payment confirmation status
  3. License scope and terms applicable to a Transaction
  4. Invoices issued on behalf of Cinematographers
  5. Records confirming delivery of licensed, non-watermarked footage

DenSyte does not store full payment card numbers or banking credentials.

5. Payment Processing Information

Payments and payouts are processed by third-party payment processors. We may receive limited information from such processors, including:

  1. Confirmation of successful or failed payments
  2. Chargebacks, reversals, or disputes
  3. Payout status and timing

Such processors process personal information pursuant to their own privacy policies.r

6. Automatically Collected Information

When you access or use the Platform, we may automatically collect:

  1. IP address
  2. Device identifiers and browser type
  3. Operating system
  4. Log data and timestamps
  5. Pages viewed and features used
  6. Cookies and similar technologies

HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use personal information for the following purposes:

1. Platform Operation and Administration

  1. Creating and managing user accounts
  2. Facilitating Blind Requests, Submissions, and Transactions
  3. Enabling secure on-Platform messaging
  4. Facilitating issuance of invoices on behalf of Cinematographers
  5. Administering license terms and Transaction records
  6. Delivering licensed, non-watermarked footage following payment confirmation
  7. Providing customer support

2. Payments, Payouts, and Financial Operations

  1. Processing payments and payouts
  2. Applying Platform fees
  3. Managing chargebacks, reversals, and disputes
  4. Holding or delaying payouts where required for compliance, dispute resolution, or fraud prevention

3. Trust, Safety, and Compliance

  1. Enforcing the Terms of Service
  2. Preventing fraud, abuse, and circumvention
  3. Protecting Blind Request confidentiality
  4. Conducting limited reviews of Platform activity where reasonably necessary to:
  5. investigate suspected violations,
  6. comply with legal obligations, or
  7. protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the Platform and its Users

4. Platform Improvement and Analytics

  1. Understanding usage trends
  2. Improving features, functionality, and user experience
  3. Developing new tools and services

5. Legal and Regulatory Purposes

  1. Complying with applicable laws and regulations
  2. Responding to lawful requests from courts or authorities
  3. Establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims

CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION AND BLIND REQUESTS

Information submitted through Blind Requests and related communications is treated as confidential under the Terms of Service.

DenSyte:

  1. Restricts internal access to such information on a need-to-know basis
  2. Implements technical and organizational safeguards to protect confidentiality
  3. Does not sell or publicly disclose Blind Request content

Users are prohibited from attempting to identify or contact other Users outside the Platform.

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:

1. With Other Users

  1. Profile information you choose to make visible
  2. Information necessary to complete a Transaction
  3. Subject at all times to Blind Request identity protections

With Service Providers

We may share personal information with third-party service providers who assist with:

  1. Payment processing and payouts
  2. Hosting and cloud infrastructure
  3. Secure content delivery
  4. Invoicing and document generation
  5. Analytics and performance monitoring
  6. Security, fraud prevention, and compliance

Such providers are contractually obligated to protect personal information and use it only for authorized purposes.

We may disclose personal information where required to:

  1. Comply with applicable law or legal process
  2. Respond to subpoenas, court orders, or lawful government requests
  3. Protect the rights, property, or safety of DenSyte, Users, or others

  3. Enable Platform functionality

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Personal information may be stored or processed in jurisdictions outside your place of residence, including Canada and the United States. By using the Platform, you consent to such transfers in accordance with this Policy and applicable laws.

The Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of eighteen (18). We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

THIRD-PARTY LINKS

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Policy from time to time. Any changes will be effective upon posting. Your continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
